Protein in your daily rountine?

Protein in your daily rountine is important? Yes, I think so for many reasons. It helps to maintain lean muscle mass and it keeps you feeling full for longer periods of time if you are tying to shed some excess body fat. Another advantage to protein is that it blocks your desire for carbohydrates vs. eating carbohydrates alone. If your diet consists of mainly carbohydrates than your brain will be triggered to consume more carbohydrates...this can lead to overeating and weight gain. To maintain lean muscle mass women need to consume 100 grams of protein per day while a man needs 150 grams per day. Where can I find protein? Good sources of protein are meats, fish, eggs, dairy, nuts or soy products. If you do not have time to eat a meal you can drink a protein shake.
